Hi all.
Just putting this out there, in the (admittedly vague) hope that anyone's seen this stuff and can furnish me with copies.
I always thought it puzzling that New Order never seemed to get much MTV coverage back in the '80s. Or, at least, that's what I thought based on the stuff that I have copies of on hard-drives / VHS etc.
Anyway, hunting through old lists, I've come across references to these choice items that I had no idea existed:
26/10/1986 Martha Quinn interview with Jonathan Demme (inc. clip of Hooky & Steve interviewed in the MTV studios). *
11/1986 - Brotherhood Ad (with Miles Davis' "Tutu").
01/1988 - Steve & Gillian interview.
18/09/1988 - 'X-Ray' profile (inc. clip of New Dawn Fades from Here Are The Young Men)
10/1988 - Hooky & Steve interviewed in the MTV studios. *
28/12/1988 - Hooky & Steve interviewed in the MTV studios. *
11/01/1989 - Hooky & Steve interviewed in the MTV studios. *
20/03/1989 - Bernard interview (from the same interview used in 'NewOrder - A True Story'). **
03/04/1989 - Bernard interview (from the same interview used in 'NewOrder - A True Story'). **
10/04/1989 - Bernard interview (from the same interview used in 'NewOrder - A True Story'). **

1989 - MTV News Hooky Steve
* I'm guessing these are different clips from the same interview.

Anyone seen them? Anyone have them lurking on a VHS anywhere?
I'm not sure whether these were shown on the 'US' or 'Europe' versions of MTV. Maybe both.
The 1980s MTV footage I was already aware of and actually have copies of are:
06/1985 - Hooky, Steve & Jonathan Demme interviewed about The Perfect Kiss (not the Martha Quinn one mentioned above).
1987 - Hooky & Steve interviewed in front of a 'cloudy sky' backdrop.
23/08/1987 - 'X-Ray' profile (inc. clip of Blue Monday performed live)
1989 - 'A Week In Rock' - Bernard interview (from the same interview used in 'NewOrder - A True Story'). **
15/06/1989 - 'MTV Spotlight - New Order: A True Story'
14/07/1989 - 'Week In Rock' Hooky & Steve interviewed about the PiL / Sugarcubes tour.
If anyone wants copies of the ones that I do have, or even has the stuff I'm after, just sent me a PM!
