“It used to be people wanted your autograph,” he told us before playing an amfAR gala at the Plaza. “Now they want the photo with the cellphone, which is OK, but someone else will see you doing it and they’ll want theirs and then someone else … till you get down to people going, ‘I want your photograph, but who are ya?’ ”
