...they would be hailed as geniuses and the music press would beg Bono to ejaculate all over their collective faces.

his voice became annoying to listen to, and the songs as well. That was decades ago. Luckily , old average singer and writer Bernard still captivates, caresses, and generally makes one proud to have found him , very proud to sing his praises. |

I hope this song gets the attention it deserves. It is a piece of wacky New Order brilliance. It sounds to me like it has elements of Michael J's "Thriller" combined with some of the vibe from the second half of the much loved "Republic" and maybe a little bit of Procession sprinkled on top! It shouldn't work but boy does it. Edited by user 29 September 2015 02:55:59(UTC)

I can imagine this track being used musically as an underscore and as a narrative in a film - perhaps that has already been planned, but kept under wraps.

The words 'Auntie' and 'balls' come to mind. There's a general feeling U2 took over from JD but I never heard it myself. I know Tick Tock was produced by Hannett but apparently it was a balls-up.

Wilson claimed Bonio had told him he'd take over from Curtis as the 'best frontman ever' but even back then (early 90s) I couldn't see it. The very idea of Ian Curtis crusading the crap out of poverty issues whilst simultaneously being wealthy enough to buy a small country like Bonio makes me laugh. Equally, musically U2 have always played catch-up to their contemporaries like New Order but their admittedly bigger platform has enabled them to look like pioneers at times. Not recently, mind. Achtung Baby and Zooropa were honest if flawed attempts at doing something different but over two decades later its been bland MOR ever since.
