Easy question this.
If it's an album Working Overtimes, Californian Grasses and Rock The Shacks then NO!
If it's an album with tracks as strong as Crystal then YES!

I really like Californian Grass actually so not sure why you're lumping it in with Working Overtime and Rock The Shack?
Got a great chorus even if it is a bit simplistic but the instrumentation is pretty good.

Agreed, Californian Grass is one of the best on the release, instrumentally if not lyrically... Best of all is I'll Stay With You. I consider it a ghost single as in the same ilk as Regret and Crystal it's both the initial and the strongest track! Plus I think it's the only one they've played live, at least so far...?

Linus Solanki wrote:http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/do-we-really-want-new-music-from-new-order Alarming news on the wires that New Order are readying some new tracks for mass consumption. Obviously the reanimated Manchester legends could be coming up with something a cut above the satisfactory rock they've churned out periodically over the last 20 years, but don't bet your die-cut 'Blue Monday' sleeves on it. That's the thing about getting the old band back together – the creative impetus tends to wither when you've got all that lovely back catalogue to plunder. Since their reunion two years ago – four years after splitting permanently with Peter Hook – New Order have only seen fit to release 'Lost Sirens', a selection of out-takes from their last proper, lacklustre album 'Waiting For The Sirens' Call'. Hardly the action of a band overflowing with confidence at their capacity for sharp new material. But maybe they'll turn around and hit us full in the face with half a dozen new 'Thieves Like Us'-es. That'd be good, but sourfaced pessimism says otherwise. History has made us feel like this Read more at http://www.nme.com/blogs...rder#1grL0ILEBCxZ5Emv.99 yes we do. maybe try this question on a different website. |

Ah... sorry... now I see; the title of the NME article is the title of the thread.
Well, if NME really don't want any more new order they should stop celebrating everything NO and JD have done in the past in order to remove any confusing potential encouragement.

there isn't anyone else on earth creating such consistently great songs . i trust new order to continue where they left off. for example bernard's cover of 'in the ghetto' is better than elvis' original. and bad lieutenant songs are great. compare working overtime or rock the shack with anything by anyone else of the last decade. california grass is gorgeous. and blank and jones miracle cure with bernard was another stellar song . there isn't the slightest possibility for these guys to put out anything but first class timeless songs . is this a new order site |

If they are writing music to satisfy themselves that's great! Cause if it's not they will be all shit! Remember the 80's: "We write the music we want to play!". They do not need a new album or whatever, just sell the songs on the internet. Make theirs fans happy and go home! Money? Go on tour again! Edited by user 16 June 2013 04:03:22(UTC)
