Its old now but I ripped it and the other tracks from YouTube and I still like them. La Roux and Heaven 17? Not so much. Edited by user 03 June 2013 23:07:49(UTC)

A real summer song for me, we have warm weather here at the moment and it isn't getting on my nerves just yet.. I predict that within the next two years REM might get back together..

ah i remember that Imitation Of Life video.Think i actually have it on some DVD single or something. Heard Nightswimming for the first time in years the other day, strong and vivid memories of where i was & what i was doing back then. May have to dig out Automatic For The People sometime. Got a bit tired of REM in the latter years though i do rate some of the stuff on their Reveal album from 2001- The Lifting,I've Been High,, All The Way To Reno, Saturn Return,Summer Turns To High, I'll Take The Rain.

I have been listening to Automatic a lot over the last few days and it does bring back for me summer memories so its good to listen to it now while the weather is warm and the sky is blue! They started losing me as far back as Monster but I persisted until Around The Sun, I have not even hear their last album.. I don't listen to them that often because that that way they remain special but it seems appropriate to give them a spin now..
This from late period REM also has a decent chorus..

I think i like this clip because the performance is slightly shaky- ropey vocals but the enthusiasm and energy wins it.Letterman is starting to look a bit old though isn't he?

i don't like tegan and sara, and i don't like the rolling stones. but i like this.
(it's not a sunny saturday morning song, though. it's a 4am saturday night song, when you've run out of all other booze and are drinking year-old pimms mixed with dr pepper.)

Not bad, but I prefer the original:
Haha very funny Empress Lad. Yeah it is a bit Roxette Listen To Your Heart in places. I'm sure my current fixation with Tegan And Sara will quickly pass though for the time being i'm finding Sara really cute

not quite listening but...last nights Stone Roses gig rattling around inside my head. Not bad, not bad at all.
Incidentally if yesterday is anything to go by, there could be some bargains to be had outside Finsbury Park tonight. Touts were buying tickets for a tenner and selling them for £30. Cut out the touts and you could get a ticket outside the tube station for twenty quid. Official price is about sixty. Roses on at 8.40pm tonight. Just sayin'...

Empress Touch wrote:And as far as guilty pleasures go, I was never the same after seeing this video to Rollo & Sister Bliss's unbelievable remix of Donna Summer's finest hour:
So the chick is meant to be a security guard. Who has security cameras installed over a bath? Chuck Berry ended up in court for such an offence (toilets) if i remember correctly. Tut tut. Its a rip off of the Sliver plot line I suppose...

Just bear with while i work through this odd Tegan And Sara obsession. I'll soon be through it, it's ok.Thanks. "All I want to get is a little bit closERRRR
It's not just all physical I'm the type who will get oh so critical So let's make things physical I won't treat you like you're oh so typical!"

Been listening to the Sex Pistols lately. Even Sid's solo work and Vicisious Rich Kids. Dunno, maybe getting back to the rebirth of R&R.
