Not a great deal of new news, really. Barney said he'd been writing lyrics for three weeks recently. He said they have started recording though. He said they have enough songs for an album. Surprisingly he seemed to say he favours the idea of releasing the songs as an album rather than the EP thing, though the final decision hasn't been made yet. Barney said a couple of members of NO will be playing at a benefit gig at Carnegie Hall ( New York?) with Phillip Glass. Barney has been continuing with work on his book with a ghost writer , he did say the ghost writer's name ..cant recall now. Think he said they'll return to North America yet again in June - July to do West Coast dates? Usual chat with Steve about tanks and general chit chat tomfoolery about Christmas, shopping, mulled wine etc Edited by user 20 December 2013 06:53:28(UTC)

Usual chat with Steve about tanks and general chit chat tomfoolery about Christmas, shopping, mulled wine etc All of this is very good news, I would prefer a album instead of small EP's. |

Usual chat with Steve about tanks and general chit chat tomfoolery about Christmas, shopping, mulled wine etc Thanks for the recap. Interestingly enough, when I was backstage at the Philly show last summer, Bernard was playing a Phillip Glass piece for us on the Steinway piano in the green room. He played it beautifully as well, turns out he is a fan of Glass. Was interesting to hear him play such a melodic piano piece. Cannot remember which piece it was, though. Also, Phillip Glass and I frequent the same coffee shop on E. 2nd Avenue, and I run into him on Canal Street all the time. I've never said hi to him but he does smile and nod at me. Yeah, we will have a lot of New Order in 2014... New songs, Lollapalooza in South America, a live partnership with Philip Glass, a new book... and Hooky plus The Light doing "Low Life" and "Brotherhood" too. That's great. |

Literally can't wait for this album! This will be the first "official" new New Order album released since I became a fan! I really hope it is released in 2014.
