Having just warpped his American tour performing New Order’s third and fourth albums — 1985′s Low-Life and 1986′s Brotherhood — Peter Hook has announced he’ll return next spring for a tour of the southern U.S. during which he’ll play Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Closer in addition to an opening set of New Order favorites.
Peter Hook & The Light’s new 10-date tour opens April 17 in Miami and will hit Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina before wrapping up May 2 (see full dates below).
Hook recently completed his Low-Life/Brotherhood tour, which included performances of both albums plus singles and B-sides from what Hook calls New Order’s “most prolific period,” spanning August 1983 up to 1987, including “Thieves Like Us,’” “State of the Nation,” “Love Vigilantes,” “The Perfect Kiss” and more.
