None, I'm afraid.
Cannot bear ANY tribute bands - make your own bloody music or don't bother at all.
As for re order, they are downright creepy in their cloning of the slightest mannerisms even if they are better live than New Order. Horrid.

Re:Order though i've never seen the others! Never heard of Love Vigilantes or Substance Seen Re Order a fair few times, twice at Nottingham Rescue Rooms (opened with Too Late at one of those -ace!) but was always irked that they always seemed to be support for The Smyths and play a shorter set.Should have been the other way round.

Fair point but very few decent bands come down to Rome and I've had some awesome nights watching tribute bands - Sex Pistols, Skunk Anansie. Next poll: Most pointless rerelease. Best of NO, International and The Best Of JD? I'm glad I gave up being a completist.

Wow, it feels great to be included in this poll. Thanks Digital Mike for including Substance in there. I am "Hooky" in Substance. I am a big fan of all the different New Order tributes and support them however I can. I've seen LoveVig live, and they're awesome. Re:Order and True Order, I've only seen them via youtube. Love'm both. I think each band focuses on something different --- some focus more on the performance and stage showmanship, others on looks and manerisms, some focus on sounding like New Order live (which historically never sounded like New Order in the studio), some focus on sounding like the studio/album, etc. Great poll, great post, and glad to be back here after being away for a few years. The Light is kind of a troll-y option here, no? It's not exactly a tribute band -- it does have Hooky, remember. I saw them last year and they're great, no way any other of the lot here comes close

True Order are fantastic. Great musicians who capture the sound feel and look of New Order. Their diverse set list means that each gig is a new treat. They have my vote!

Mike, you seem to have forgotten Digital in your list!
I haven't seen True Order yet, will be interesting to see if they are as good as their self-publicity. Re:Order will take some beating though, they got it very right. |

This thread is actually hilarious. One of the perks of being a moderator is that you get to see the IP address of people who post messages. And guess what peeps! Andrean and True1 are posting from the same computer! Bit sad, lads, if you are resorting to making up your own "fans" to give good reviews. Looked slightly suss having two people join within minutes, using the same writing style, both seemingly for the purpose of bigging up True Order.
Tip from the top - let your gigs do the talking. If you become as good a band as Re:Order and Digital used to be, then you'll have earned the right. |

So I was right with my guess!
If you was as good as you say you are true order word would spread quick enough without doing pretend reviews of your own gigs
Your trying too hard

People used to moan about New Order doing the same sets, now Hooky advertises his tribute bands same set ... so funny. We're gonna have new New Order songs live in November Edited by user 01 November 2015 02:46:47(UTC)

Erm it's got to be The Light hasn't it? Always excellent live. Seen reorder and digital a couple of times and both are great. Remember a good night a few years ago in Derby when they both played, but at the time there was no New Order or The Light. Now we have both. Not many tribute bands can boast an original member!

W all due respect, I would say PH&TL does not qualify here --- with an original member and all, plus they're really all pros. Most of us here in tribute land have day jobs ---- right? But if you insist, yes, PH&TL is the winner by far. I've seen all of their LA shows plus Dallas, so around 8 or 9 times. Cannot wait to see'm again in 2016.
