Ah it's the same mix (Extended Mix 2) that someone posted the Juno link to today?

Think i much prefer the Hot Chip one

Anyone have or heard this yet? Is it the same version as the 4:17 regular single mix?

I received a copy of the promo CDr today and can confirm it's basically a fade-out edit of the 4:17 Single Version with the lyric "Whenever I feel low" repeated and faded.

The tracks are identical up until 3:29.

Got the 2 track release a week or 2 back, can't say I'm that impressed, the Hot Chip remix seems to suck all of the life out of the original and go on for what seems like an eternity, and the edit seems like a botch job too, I'm not going to bother with any of the other mixes.

hot chip only did a couple of the mixes. the rest are by different mixers, you can here parts of them
from the samples above.

some might turn out to be good, you never know.

The single mix has been on rotation on R6 (as reported here already by others) for a few days now, I heard it for the first time twice yesterday. I must say, and I'm not sure if this is because I'm very fond of the album mix, but it seems to be a pretty sloppy cut: old-school radio-friendly single fair; get the run time down, cut out a lot of lead-ins, make sure the chorus gets exposure. Again maybe it's because it removes a lot of stuff I like from the album mix but it felt butchered to me :/

Yeah i have similar feelings about the radio/single mix.It seems all about a generic housey piano, chart friendly intro to try and draw people in and then getting that chorus in as many times as possible.

I'm not saying the album mix is perfect, but I've yet to hear a better version (Hot Chip, Single Edit, Extended and Extended 2). The others are good, but just different, not better.

A German promo has surfaced with a new 'Radio Mix' which is different from the Edit found on the other CDr mentioned earlier in the thread:

Tutti Frutti (German Promo)

Instead of the synthy house keyboard of the Single Version this new one starts off with the Italian bloke and the beat straight away.

I don't mind Tutti but it's fast becoming one of my least listened to tracks from Music Complete and the novelty is wearing off a little bit. It's a decent (bubblegum) pop song but I'm not sure it has the staying power of previous New Order singles (including the much maligned Restless). Still, it's much better than Jetstream. Ironically after a decade and a half of guitar-based albums I've found myself concentrating on the more guitar-y tracks I.e. Restless, Academic, Nothing But A Fool and the Tom Rowlands productions Singularity/Unlearn the most. They're all brilliant and really withstand repeated listening.

Still, I'm looking forward to hearing the remixes we haven't heard from next month's Tutti Frutti single; the xxxy and Weatherall ones from the Restless bundle were pretty good.

I like what I've heard of the extended & remixed versions but I think the album version is still my favourite for Tutti Frutti.

I have the string section from 4:31 of the album version edited out & use it as my phone ringtone But this bit is largely missing or messed around in what I've heard of the single mixes so far - I had hoped this section might be more prominent in one of the single mixes but alas not, so far.

Also, my little girl (6) loves this song and insists on singing it as a duet in the car on the school run every day. She really misses Elly's solo section in the non album versions. (And so do I, to be fair.)

Do you like a chopped up or stuttered vocal? If so, you might like Tom Trago's mix of Tutti.

Listen HERE from about 08.50 to around 14.00
Actually, for those hoping for a bit of a club banger, this might just be the mix for you. It's growing on me.
You're welcome.

I hadn't heard anything that I felt was better than the album version. I don't think this is necessarily better, but I do like it as an alternative version. Looking forward to hearing the full track.

I wasn't really into the "c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-crazy these d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-days " part LoL Didn't actually listen all the way through though

I'm not sure we've listed the timings of the forthcoming remixes. They're on Juno Download
Tutti Frutti - (4:17) 120 BPM
(12" extended mix 2) - (7:30) 120 BPM
(Hot Chip remix) - (11:43) 119 BPM
(Tom Trago's Crazy Days remix) - (10:31) 62 BPM
(Richy Ahmed remix) - (9:02) 124 BPM
(Hallo Halo remix) - (7:02) 119 BPM

Following on from the previous Tom Trago related post, you can hear eight minutes and fifty seconds of it HERE from 01.08.00.
Incidentally, they appear to have the BPM wrong for this mix above. I think multiplying 62 BPM by 2 would make it more accurate.

EDIT: Hang on a minute. You can listen to the Richy Ahmed mix in full on that Juno link by clicking Cue (and moving the cursor). In theory you should be able to listen to all the mixes, but the other ones keep playing the Hot Chip Mix at the moment. I imagine that will be fixed eventually.

EDIT 2: Ok Ive got the Hallo Halo mix playing now too. The Juno player must be a bit glitchy. The Richy Ahmed one is actually quite good from about 3 minutes onwards. Before that it's kinda boring. Hallo Halo mix isn't really doing it for me, and Tom Trago (also now working on Juno) is just...ok.
So for me it's a toss up between Richy Ahmed and Hot Chip for the best remix of Tutti.

thanks for the heads up debaser, will add those times to the list.

the richy ahmed remix does sound a bit better than the hallo halo remix. the tom trago remix is much more like a dub.

i compared the two mixes, and the one played online was slightly different, so don't know if that was an earlier version of it.
