A track so rare even the Light missed it. In the words of Oscar Wilde, fucking Hell! 08.25 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQSprYGYEAoAny info? All I've found is that Gretton called it 'Hour' in his notebook, so it must be true.

It only might be called 'Hour'.
There a list of tracks that end with what looks like 'Hour' in the notebooks. It could also be the working title for 'Homage' (not otherwise listed but part of the early set), we don't really know.

I remember Water Rat's list circa '99 and I don't think this was up then. Scouring the Net I can't find out bugger all about it... Let's lobby Hooky to play it live, might give him less time to do interviews. Two birds and all that. Edited by user 14 January 2016 02:59:44(UTC)

It may have only been played the once, only revealed when that recording was leaked (by Hooky, I can only presume, as no one else had it). Maxwell's was the only gig done before the gear was stolen, we don't know what was played at Tier 3. Edited by user 14 January 2016 03:18:12(UTC)

I assume this was a Hooky leak as he often says he recorded every gig and has accumulated shit loads over the years. (Six months ago 4 unreleased Spice Girls songs leaked. So did I when I saw the picture.) It looks like this song WAS only played once, and even then it may've been unfinished. I was just surprised I'd missed it as I was such a trainspotter on everything up to Raise The Pressure, when lack of info and endless cash-ins left my enthusiasm dwindling. Still, it's better than that 'Are You Ready Are You Ready Are You Ready For This?' jape.

Sounds not a million miles away from JD's Incubation.I've listened to bits of the Hurrah's show before (i think ) but have missed this Maxwell's one previously . That has to be Steve singing on Procession.Wasn't there some kerfuffle some years ago now about the lady in the U.S who actually has video footage of the whole of the Hurrah's show but refuses to share it? Think she's only shared one song or not even that, maybe 1 minute of one song from the gig. Edited by user 15 January 2016 23:45:20(UTC)

Having been to Maxwell's many times, I wanted to find a copy of this gig since I first learned NO played their first US show there - many years now. Thrilled to hear it! A great room - legendary - many bands got their first US or gig outside their hometown at the place - REM, B-52s. Bob Mould wrote Workbook while living above it. Often voted best club in NY, even though it's in New Jersey. Good times
