Manchester Evening News work experience reporter's been Googling New Order again I see:
"Fresh tracks from Music Complete, Restless and Tutti Frutti are sure to get an airing along with back catalogue singles such as Blue Monday and We All Stand."

I went to see Noel Gallagher there last summer. Its an odd shaped venue, being wider than it is deep (the complete opposite of WHP!). It was rather rough (saw a few nasty "incidents") and security were operating a zero tolerance approach (saw numerous people chucked straight out for having a wazz behind a skip that we were stood near).

Great news. I was hoping they do a 'special' non standard concert. Let's hope the sun shines as it did at Jodrell Bank

I've never been to this venue but it doesn't look great from the photo search I've just done. I bet there are nowhere near enough toilets for a crowd of 8000, especially if they only have the "turdis" cubicles and no urinals. There ought to be a presale of tickets, I won't be able to go online until around 1:00pm tomorrow.

Just got three tickets on an impulse buy. Saw The Fall and Buzzcocks there a few years back. Always enjoyed it as a venue.

I posted two comments right after the event, but they were lost amidst the subsequent server crash. Here I put them together, edited and tweaked it a bit, and post it again -- a kind of salvation. Quite a unique venue. Similar vibe to The Beatles rooftop concert, or music in a model railroad diorama...you had to be there. Fun to watch the show under such circumstances. As much as I was delighted to hear Decades, I felt the performance of the song was a bit shaky to be fair -- it was not convincing enough to work live. For me, the true highlight as regards the song selection was the Music Complete-heavy set list that sounded so refreshing. Another memorable show, up there with Jodrell Bank 2013, their homecoming gig this time well made up for the miserable experience that was the WHP last December. I am tired of LWTUA these days, yet the show closer sounded so huge, monumental and truly triumphant that night. All in all, well done guys!

This really was an excellent gig, like you said up there for recent performances with Jodrell Bank. Lonelady was also brilliant so made for an excellent line up and night. Will live long in the memory
