Eleven years ago pink floyd and new order were celebrated and joined great bands and individuals in the rock and roll hall of fame. Pink Floyd sat in the row behind NewOrder. 47 years ago Roger ( Syd) Barrett succumbed to something, and David Gilmour stepped into the void left by Syd, and though one supergiant would create no more, the wonderful Mr Gilmour began . Eleven years later the supergiant Ian Curtis would create no more , and Bernard began his ascendance to greatness.Ian and Syd are always near and beloved and it is poignant and satisfying to see that the two best men in music , and my favorites for decades, are back to back again. Charity events have been huge parts of both men's lives, anonymously as often as not, and Bernard will likely be CBE ,as David already is for his charity work. Wish I could see both again and thank them once again
