Hell, you could even do a mini world tour of it in 2013. No-one could stop it happening and the fans would be happy. End of story (well the latest chapter anyway).
Go on, be a devil!

Great idea.
I remember a story about a Bruce Springsteen gig in LA many years ago.
At the beginning of the gig he shouted "Bootleggers! Roll your tapes!"
Maybe Barney could do the same!!!

It would be great if they even played one track from Lost Sirens on their current tour, so long as it's not Hellbent or I Told You So.. Edited by user 18 July 2012 04:28:54(UTC)

Hooky would really get his learned friends and sue 'em Scientology style. Bernard already mentioned copyright issues for the delay. With The Order's blind eye on bootleggers and the chance that the gig would be streamed or broadcasted, as Hookty said, once it is out on the internet then everyone steals it. Let's wait until the actual physical release.
rather them go back to the vault and bring out Hurt or Ultraviolence or Denial.

I want to hear it [Lost Sirens] but I'm not that desperate enough to want to hear it played live.

Politics and bullshit aside, I'd definitely pick it up. Plenty of time to revise the name to something a little more relevant. Sirens don't exactly become "lost", do they?

i find wftsc the one new order album i cant seem to listen to all the way through http://forums.neworderonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=171&p=2 Read what Tim wrote in the Lost Sirens thread....he said...
Quote:Simple fact is that when they began writing songs for WFTSC, they started working with a number of producers, and ended up with 18 songs. Some were done with Stuart Price, some with Brian Higgins. They decided to separate them out into two albums, with a plan to record a couple more. Obviously the future recording got shelved in 06. The Brian Higgins tracks have yet to be released, we've heard Sister and Brother, or whatever they decided to call it, and the band were very pleased with Sugarcane, but gawd knows when we'll get to hear the whole thing.
You can't please everybody and to be honest, in all albums (not just New Order) I own, there's always at least one song (or more) that I don't really like. But it's not really 'leftovers' in the sense that all songs on Lost Sirens would be totally rubbish and worthless or something. Maybe some songs were considered to 'fit' the album of WFTSC better hence why some songs got released and others haven't.

Would be cool but would probably put them at odds with Warner more than Hook. I'd say we'll hear them on the tour following the release. Judging from ITYS and Hellbent, I'm more interested in the possibility of all new material. Might be wrong though.

I thought first it would be a great way to overcome the misfortunes Lost Sirens currently experience. But then when I imagined them played live, I thought better of it. I went to a 2005 gig, having not listened deliberately to WFTSC, as to experience how an unknown NO song would sound. I don't know if it were the songs, or the overall chaos near the stage, but I was not greatly impressed.
Besides, as someone above pointed out, New Order have so many great songs they haven't played for decades that they could use extra energy for them.Edited by user 27 July 2012 22:14:51(UTC)

Bernard made reference to bootlegging back in the early 80s when after a song he said there would now be a bit of a pause in order to give everyone a chance to flip there tapes over. This could have been a Brixton or Kilburn gig.
Half the audience would tape N.O gigs in those days. Neither band nor crew seemed to care.
