For any Oz based onliners - Amex are currently doing a great deal.

For $349 p.a. you get an Amex card. Included in the deal are 2 free domestic flights (some exclusions re: West-East coast travel) and 2 free passes to the Virgin lounge.

Provided you spend $2000+ in the first 2 months you also receive 100, 000 bonus Velocity points.

As well as being useful for flights, they can also be redeemed for merchandise via the Virgin store and now BP are accepting the points for fuel.

You can also transfer the points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer scheme (but there is penalty doing this).

Last time Amex offered the deal I took it up, as did the missus separately so we scored 200K points all up, used the flights and lounge passes then cancelled the card. As that was over a year ago we are doing the same thing again now.
