Quiz time: name all New Order singles that have no external remixes other than variations of the original studio version. So, ones that only have album versions, dubs, edited or extended versions of the same source track.
I count 7 (including singles with alternate studio versions (such as 'Ceremony').... but what are they..?

Fair enough but I was classing that as just an edit of the original.
On a separate matter, what exactly IS the difference with TrueFaith94?

The seven I picked was:
Ceremony Procession Thieves Like Us Murder The Perfect Kiss Shellshock State Of The Nation
Run 2 had an extended mix which was a different remix (not just an extended album mix), plus the single version was remixed. Hurt was a B-side.
Good call Video 586, but guess the Peter Black mix of 586 counts as an external remix.
I suppose The Peter Saville Show Soundtrack counts too, making 8?

Quiz question #2: Name the only New Order single never to be released on vinyl?
Always bothered me, this one. In that Rain Man "gap in the collection" way.
Bona fide singles only (cases can be made for some "promo-only" type singles).

I consider Guilt Is A Useless Emotion to be a legitimate single. Promo copies were issued, and you can buy the remix EP on iTunes (with unique artwork). It was nominated for a Grammy. I'm certain it charted on the Billboard Dance chart.
60 Miles An Hour *has* been issued, on the vinyl box of Singles. But I understand what you mean about not having a stand-alone 7" or 12".

That being said, I still don't consider it a bona fide single in the same league as the other three from that album. Perhaps because I'm not living in the States. GIAUE promo CDs - I have them, but they also exist for a bunch of tracks that weren't outright singles. iTunes Remix EP - Yes, the bunny rabbit art, but only released in one/limited territories. Grammy nomination - Don't even joke about how farcical the Grammy Dance award is ;) Billboard Dance Chart - Suspect there'd be plenty of promo tracks on there. For me it was more of a promo-style remix package, available in limited territories. In some ways similar to True Faith 2001. It also isn't considered an outright single on Wikipedia. And it'd be the only "legitimate" NO single with no commercial physical release, plus no video. But it did alert us to Mac Quayle and he put out some nice gear on the Mr Robot OST. I'm in the US and I think of Guilt as a single. It was somewhat of a big deal (at least to me and another guy) that it was released with remixes here in the States. 2005 was still an early time for online release packages.
That being said - I don't see it online anywhere but I do have the Bill Hamel dub mix if anyone wants it.
