Has anyone yet noticed that the music for the opening sequence - the divers, as seen on the cover of the upcoming live album - is the string section from All Day Long slowed down?

Yes, it's Wagner's Das Rheingold. So you could argue that it's new order that changed the speed of Wagner (though Wagner also gets very fast).
You don't visit the forum as often as you used to Mr £50, but it has indeed been discussed. And yes, it's a little heartbreaking the first time you realise NO didn't really write that bit.

I lurk almost daily. Smile

I've got a really good recording of All Day Long from the soundcheck at Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh, September 11, 1986. Hooky's not drowning it in bass, so you can hear the strings really well. How does the saying go? "Good artists copy; great artists steal."
