That must’ve been massively disappointing.

I guess this is the problem when you rely on sequencers and synchronised light / video shows; you can’t just go and hire some guitars and a drum kit and recreate your normal show. Not that I’m knocking sequencers. It just means that everything becomes a little more planned.

Here’s hoping they manage to reschedule something for those who bought tickets.

Bummer.

So the Buenos Aires 23rd Nov gig is cancelled as well as last night’s (21st Nov) gig in Santiago, Chile? It’s just that the cancelled gig was the Chile one on the 21st but this thread is for the Buenos Aires gig in the 23rd. Or am I missing something? Because the equipment didn’t make it to Chile it therefore can’t make it to Argentina?

Googling New Order cancelled gig came up with a cancelled Belfast gig that was planned for May 2012 at the Titanic museum ( visited that last year, it’s good). I have no recollection of that at all. Apparently New Order and Happy Mondays were to headline. It was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Don’t remember that at all. Odd.

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm on the right thread for this:

^ Soundcheck footage I believe. They played it as track 2 in the gig.

Nooooooooooo!

Gah! Why the Hell didn’t they play this at the Ally Pally?
Yes - I know they did a virtually unprecedented 21 songs, but I’d have sacrificed a couple of songs for the wondrous AoC.

Looks like they swapped out Love Vigilantes, which wouldn’t have been my choice to swap out, as that’s bloody brilliant too. As a fan, I’d have followed Love Vigilantes with Age of Consent (get the crowd buzzing, especially after the superb ‘instant classic’ Singularity) and sacrificed one of the later tracks (Waiting For The Sirens’ Call maybe).

Age of Consent is, alongside Thieves Like Us, Everything’s Gone Green, Hurt, 1963, 586 and Sunrise, one of the songs that I’ve never experienced live that I most want to hear (I know 586 has been regularly performed since the reformation but, for some reason, they disappointedly skipped it at Wolves Civic in 2015).

Ah well, maybe I’ll get to see any of the above next time I see them.

New Order, if you’re reading this, get some UK dates booked for next year, please... you God-like geniuses, you. Big Grin
