1993 was pure formula.
I used to have a cassette of Reading 89 and I was surprised how professional it was. The notoriously shoddy but fun mentality was over.

Both of my favorite boots come from 1987.

1. Pier 84, NYC, 25 August (my birthday!). Released as the Chapter III bootleg. There's also a second audience recording. This was the first New Order boot I ever got, and something about the energy of this show really gets me. Plus, I love how Angel Dust and All Day Long were performed live on this tour (heavier synth bass and drum machine sounds).

Love Vigilantes
Bizarre Love Triangle
Everything's Gone Green
Let's Go
All Day Long
Angel Dust
Shellshock
Weirdo
Face Up
Ceremony
The Perfect Kiss
Blue Monday

I miss those days of the unpredictable set list.

2. Irvine Meadows, LA, 12 September. Substance played in order, with an encore of Atmosphere, LWTUA, and Sister Ray. Tony Wilson introduces the band.

I'd love it if there's a decent quality video or audio recording of that Irvine Meadows set to be included on a 'Substance' bonus DVD/CD.

Hint hint, Johnny James...

It's FULL of Barneyisms..."Playing with my big black cock", "the smell of cocaine gets me high", "do we have any faggots in the audience?"

OK another quick Barneyism that made me snort Pepsi Max out of my nose just now:

1987.02.11 - Dee Why Hotel, Sydney, Australia, 11.02.87 (As It Is When It Was):

"But I always thought
That my penis was pretty short
In those days when my dick was long
I used to cock the birds all the time"

I guess its not really a bootleg as it looks like belgium tv but very good quality.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN0NnhhtBSU
(Youtube comments are mildly amusing)

Back on subject with some good barneyisms, the 1st bootleg I ever bought was a tape of Leeds Tiffanys from I think the LowLife era.
Barney - "Temptation..."
Crowd - "Big cheer"
Barney - "Fuck off, we'll play what we fuckin want"

Edit - Doh! Belgium tv, its in flemish

Who can tell? They totally fuck it up anyway, even by their standards.
