Prague Lucerna Praha on the 3rd Munich Philharmonie im Gasteig on the 5th Berlin Tempodrom on the 7th Paris Le Grand Rex on the 11th Brussels Forest National on the 14th Amsterdam AFAS Live on the 17th Tickets on sale Friday: I'm thinking of the Paris show as its the weekend before my birthday, the Amsterdam one is the day after but I will have been to Amsterdam twice already this year by then and if I go there three times in the space of 7 months, people might get the wrong idea

I'm going to the Paris night - only the second time I've seen a band play live in Paris (the other one was Underworld at the Casino de Paris 4 or 5 years ago) and its sort of centrally located so shouldn't be too difficult to find a decent hotel nearby.
I was kind of tempted to go to the Amsterdam show but the venue is right out by the football ground and it looks like some sort of gigantic Wembley Arena-esque place rather than somewhere with a bit of character (I would have been straight in there if they were playing somewhere like Paradiso)

I like the tour poster design, but too bad the Inner Hebrides and Corfu are not tour stops ,although i could go to Prague, if they play a new 35 song superset ,with intermission. But , even though their 20 song sets now make up for those 10 song sets long, long ago, it would be nice if they could be like Hooky and play everything they have ever done live .
2020 is probably huge for NO. They will probably start with Get Ready 2 , then the 11 lost Republic songs of ethereal danc-a -delic electronica, and gobs of new songs covering every aspect of their space age sound and vision.

They played Age Of Consent too. Plus Disorder and Ceremony. So a nice varied set. They should do more like this.

5 JD songs, 8 Disco Hits in a row, plus the 2 new additions wouldn't be my idea of varying the set but I doubt they'll change it much. I'd like them to really rotate the set order and mix the songs up - the last hour is so predictable which is why I haven't been for a few years now.
Moan moan moan eh.

I'm glad that they're adding some variation to the set, however small.
However, I just wish that they'd do something like the MiF gigs again. I know they've said that they're difficult to do; the deconstructing the songs so that bits are played by multiple keyboardists etc. But, if they are that difficult, why don't they just do them without the additional keyboardists. Just get the sequencers to play the bits the band can't; like they used to do.
Let's have a batch of different songs, played by the band and the sequencers. I know that there is a degree of work involved in programming etc., but it's not like the band are hard at work doing other stuff (i.e. making a new bloody LP).
They've done 19 gigs this year. Two hours a gig. That's 38 hours or one 'working week', by my reckoning.
Factor in rehearsals. Another week.
Programming 'Fine Time' and (possibly, if they aren't just using an old version) World. Another couple of weeks.
Interviews and promotion, band meetings etc. Another week or two.
They've probably done two months' work spaced out over the last nine. Haven't included travel time / hotel time as, to be frank, spending a fews days sipping Mai Tais in Honolulu doesn't seem like much of a chore. ;-)
I'm probably over-simplifying things here, but the point is, it's not like they're flat-out, juggling jam-packed schedules.
Just give us tracks like Thieves Like Us, 1963 and Everything's Gone Green every few months and we'll be happy.
Rant over...

I love this band . The brief guitar bit in the middle of FT has always been a few seconds of glorious beauty. I beleve slowly but surely they will feel like playing more old songs and bring them out live and have live recordings of them. Phil and Tom keep B, S, and G young . They are a new young band and will have new ideas for new songs . If we just believe in New Order , New Order will take care of us in their own very wonderful way . They are not just any old band ,they have something more , that certain something they once called Substance . |

Munich setlistWorld dropped from the setlist already, I'd hoped they would have dropped Tutti Frutti by now, to be honest.

I appreciated hearing any and all tracks from Music Complete for a couple of years after the release. But 4 years down the line, the pre-recorded vocals from Elly irritate me.

Wow! They didn't open with Singularity! In fact, they didn't play it at all.
Much as I love that track, I've been a little bored with them always opening with it. I just want them to mix things up a bit...
Which appears to be what they did a nit of last night. Nothing major, but opening with AoC must've been a really nice surprise for the crowd. Also, they dropped World back in. Academic too.
And with Fine Time and Disorder, the set is quite a bit different from, say, when I saw them at BlueDot three months previous.
Nice job!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Paris show, I had a decent seat in row K of the stalls/orchestra, but went and stood in the aisle three or four rows from the front after half an hour or so of proceedings (everyone else had the same idea by the look of things). So glad that they started things of with AoC, and happy that we got to hear both World and Fine Time (which actually sounded pretty damn good, I saw a few comments online that it had been sounding a bit ropey but it sounded fine to me, here's hoping it doesn't get shelved for years on end at the end of this tour).
If, as we are lead to believe, there will be no new albums any time soon and they concentrate on touring, I'm just hoping that other songs that haven't been played in donkeys years an airing (doubt we'll get EGG anytime soon though).
(ps, I'm glad I saw Stolen open the proceedings but I wouldn't rush to check them out again, it was fun in a strange sort of blend of post rock and techno with some Tetsuo style film clips in the background but they are certainly an acquired taste).
