Can’t believe it. Very sad news for music. For my age group the man has followed a similar musical journey (post punk, indie alternative, rave, electronic etc). I doubt anyone on this board does not own at last one remix or Westherall production (apart from NO). As Irvine Welsh as stated legend is an overused word but I can’t think of another. Along with NO he is one artist who has defined and influenced my life as a journey through music.important just like John peel was. He will be missed.
The DJ eases a spliff from his lyrical lips and smiling orders cease......

Gutted to hear about this today: he has been one of my heroes for the last 30 years or so: a man of distinction and taste (and not in jazz club definition of the term) with a true punk ethic, never turning out a load of old shit just for a few quid like some of his contemporaries did. I saw him DJ 5 or 6 times over the years (mostly as a warm-up for the Scream), last time being 2 years ago at Phonox: I can't believe I will never get to see him again.
R.I.P. Andrew, you are a legend.

Been listening to Sabres Of Paradise’ Haunted Dancehall album over last couple of days. Still holds up and still great.Had a cassette of it in mid 90s but hadn’t visited the album for years. RIP Mr Weatherall.

For some reason I can't edit the list above as the website is claiming it's spam - even though it let me post it to begin with!
