Probably Groj: Transmission https://youtu.be/4M0VKEuoPfU(Im posting this on my phone and struggling with the BB Codes). I would actually dance to this. Call me a heathen... Yep i think that's the one. First heard this some months ago.Very lovely chilled out tune Texas Sun by Khruangbin ft Leon Bridges.I keep reading and seeing this Khruangbin band mentioned a lot lately.Checked out some of their stuff and apparently they've been taking the world by storm the last few years. The guitar player is a very, very accomplished guitarist .Some of it gets all a bit too noodly for me at times and it does seem with some of the stuff it's basically him Mark Speer showing off his incredible guitar skills. But he can certainly play.Completing the group is the lovely Laura Lee on groovy bass and the drummer is Donald Johnson, nope not THAT Donald Johnson.Could get confusing i know.God i sound like their press officer.

And that classic performance on Letterman.Just incredible.Possibly up there with Ian Curtis on Something Else for a totally memorable tv..if this doesn't inspire you you're already dead.

RIP Tim Smith of Cardiacs who died a few weeks back. Was always aware of this band back in the 80s but shamefully i never looked them up further than reading the rave reviews in inkie copies of Melody Maker and suchlike of their mad, intense gigs.I feel like i missed out bigtime. But i do remember this song somehow.Must have heard it sometime in 80s or 90s.Big mad tune.

New Doves album The Universal Want arrived in the post on Friday. To be honest i struggled with it a bit for the first day or so.Apart from the immense Carousels i didn't really get it at first.Growing on me now though. For Tomorrow, Cathedrals Of The Mind, Cycle Of Hurt and Mother Silverlake amongst others beginning to worm their way into my head.

If you need a break from your mammoth PC&L box set I can recommend Working Men’s Club S/T debut. New order are definitely an influence with a electronic/ indie post punk hybrid. They are great live too. Main man (boy) only 18, should be an interesting band to keep an eye on

Kraftwerk’Computer World’ . Finally own a vinyl copy for very first time. I remember borrowing a school friend’s copy for a time back in 1984 but had never had my own copy. Snapped up an original 1981 vinyl from Discogs for around £15. Had read mixed reviews of the remasters so wanted an original 1981 copy. Sleeve a bit tatty but the record sounds great 😊 Edited by user 22 October 2020 12:56:32(UTC)

Spooky 12” Spotted this by chance in a local record shop a year or two back and immediately grabbed it as I’d never had it on vinyl. Not sure if it was second hand or not but it sounds hardly played. A great pressing. Contains the Magimix, Moulimix and album version.

Stakker Humanoid They’d play this every night without fail 1988-90 at Giovannis nightclub. Picked up the 12” at a record fair a few years back. A great pressing and one that never ever seems to attract dust , fluff or static. Odd how some vinyl can be like that and others not so.
