Also, those lyrics were shown on photos of the band's old Apple Mac someone won in a competition a long time ago. I think they were on the old World In Motion site, also can't find any of that now.
This guy Alex M put it up on Twitter:
Thanks for this. Very cool.
I'd be frightened to death each time I fired it up, just in case it broke.
The working titles listed in one of the screenshots line up with other lists of the Technique-era demos (mainly tape inlays uploaded to MDMA -
https://www.mdmarchive.c.../new%20order%20technique).
Just in case anyone was interested and didn't know, the working titles listed relate to the following tracks:
8 Track No. 1 - Guilty Partner
8 Track No. 2 - All The Way
The Acoustic One - Love Less
The Balearic One - Fine Time
The Disco One - Mr. Disco
The Funky One - ? (Round & Round, presumably, based on a process of elimination)
The Housey One - Vanishing Point (I'm guessing that the 'New Housey One' is just the LP version lyrics)
The VU One - Run
I think that's right, anyway.
Other tracks from the period include:
Gillian's Acoustic One - Dream Attack
The Dreamy One - Don't Do It
Best & Marsh (presumably didn't have a working title due to it being 'commissioned work' for the TV show in question)
The MT One - MTO
The Happy One (it appears that the band just carried on using the working title, rather than rename it)
It looks like Dream Attack had been given a proper name at this point, so the working title wasn't used. I'm also presuming that the other four four of these aren't in the screenshot due to them being instrumentals a(the screenshot is of a 'lyrics folder').
Would love to hear the alternate Vanishing Point. If anyone has it lurking on a hard-drive / box of tapes somewhere, please let me know.
