I have question about a song Peter Hook did with a band i think they were from spain or south America again I could be wrong, I remember having it on a burned cd but I forgot about the name of the artist or name of the song, I remember it had Peter bass line in it, it is not Hybrid, Loto , Autokratz or the Limananas. I could be wrong but i remember I had that song burned on a cd and it was about 10 to 15 years ago, again I could be wrong about the song but just in case somebody knows about it,it is was a very catchy upbeat song, thanks |

These are the only songs I can think of that have Hooky as guest:
AutoKratz - Becoming The Wraith Big Unit - Cross My Heart David Potts - Roll Up De Stijl - Dark Passenger, I Can’t Explain, On The Run Gorillaz - Aries Gwen Stefani - The Real Thing Hanky Park - Christian Word, Crazy Guy, Love Will Tear Us Apart, We’ll Never Die Harpaque- Touch Up / Touch Down Hybrid - Dogstar, Dream Stalker, Higher Than A Skyscraper, True To Form Inspiral Carpets - Theme From Devil Hopping Martha - Light Years From Love, Dramas Of The Human Heart Nova Nova - Low Ends Nick Hussey & Jamie Van Goulden - Salty Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party - Kinky, Wish Upon A Dog Star Rusty Egan - The Otherside The Crystal Method - Blunts & Robot, Dirty Thirty The Durutti Column - The Next Time The Liminanas - Garden Of Love, The Gift Various - Ever Fallen In Love, Transient Place, Arabian Percussion
This doesn’t include his purely production work, where he might have had a tinkle on the bass, in parts (The Riyal Family & The Poor, for instance).
Didn’t know about that Loto - Cockoo Plan one, so thanks for that.

Looking at page 1 of that expanded Discogs list posted by negative1, I noticed that it lists Hooky as having an uncredited appearance on 'The Bridge - Love Dance'. Does anybody know if this really is Hooky? I doubt it, myself. I'm guessing it was a band trying really hard to sound like New Order. Back in the day, there were a few fans convinced that the record was actually New Order in disguise. It's a pretty cool tune and I used to play it a lot back in the day. I remember one of the guys I went to Reading '93 with, in a little bit of symmetry, buying the 12" from a record fair that was on in Reading that day (29/08/93). Here's the tune, if you don't know it:

It's not him. This has circulated for years on bootlegs as an unreleased track.

Yeah. That was my thinking too.
Probably needs the Discogs entry correcting.

The weird thing is they do fuck all together for years but there are shitloads of offshoots. I don't mean Electronic, Other Splooge etc, I mean real one-offs, and they're often better than NO. Check http://www.horae.dti.ne.jp/~ouchman/BeMusic.html

I managed to pick up a new copy of the 'Loto' CD pretty cheaply (15€ including delivery). It arrived this morning from Portugal to the UK. Really like both Hooky tracks, especially 'Cuckoo Plan'. Fun stuff. There are other copies available on Discogs, which was where I got it. None of them are 'new' anymore, but some are in VG+ and NM condition for a decent price. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/1755827?ev=rbEdited by user 10 September 2020 04:52:18(UTC)
