Odd, I used to buy Melody Maker most weeks around that time and had done since the mid 80s but I’ve no recollection at all of this.

I’ve got one, but picked it up at a record fair in the early 90s.
I have a feeling it was attached to the front of the newspaper, rather than inside. But I may be mistaken.
Think it was 1989.

I’m gonna call your 1989 and raise you a 1990. Text in the article implies Technique being out for a while and namechecks some gigs back half of the year. No mention of WIM however, so that puts it earlier 1990. Edited by user 16 November 2020 02:41:34(UTC)

However, I will point out that they aren’t my scans. I’m not sure where I picked these up from. Got ‘em a few years back.
My copy of the magazine is still at my mum’s house, safely tucked away. Has been for close to 30 years or so.
