To be honest, a lot of what was said regarding Hooky wasn't news to me, and I'm pleased that (again) she didn't use this interview to be particularly critical of him. She just used it as a platform to defend her contribution (and bloody right too!).
What I took away from the article most was what a remarkable human being she is.
She put in the long hours and helped define the band both musically and (as Johnny Marr so rightly stated recently) their image.
Then, in later life, she's had to put up with criticism from a fellow bandmate (not to mention a few fans).
All this, whilst having to fight Cancer, having a child with a significant illness / disability (*), and having to leave behind something in her life that was (presumably) massively important to her.
She's a class act. For sure.
(*) No easy feat. Take it from me. :-)
