22.15 tonight. I had a look at the live stream last night, got it playing on my tv when The XX were on who were not bad. It's good quality streaming, good picture quality and audio is fine. Looking forward to watching the NO set on the stream tonight Edited by user 08 September 2012 00:06:11(UTC)

That would be 415 pm Central US Time for those in the States. Enough time to get something accomplished for the misses or to arrange a party I've watched a few of their live streams this tour. Usually on Friday's after work. Great way to start a weekend! Still searching for a way to capture one instead of waiting for someone else. Edited by user 08 September 2012 04:03:07(UTC)

As said i watched The XX last night... i dunno, kind of liked em but they only seem to have one song i.e breathy vocal duets with sparse understated electronics & slow beats. The guitarist produces some great sounds but again... dunno, kind of the same thing too often. In summary- not bad but overrated to me. Guess you have to be a youth to get really excited about em

Trying to sift through it. Atmospheric Xymox with Hooky bass or fat Bob on bass. Prolly good for after sex and drifting to sleep. Should really copy it for camping, you know, when you finally give up the ghost and hit the tent to try to sleep. The XX live at Bestival

i mean the breathy vocal duets with sparse understated electronics & slow beats are ok in moderation but a whole hour of them is a bit much. Though given the choice i think i'd take The XX live over their recorded stuff.

They build and peak. Kinda like sex. But I wish it was more peak. I don't know how anyone could be there for an hour as well. But for something mellow around the house. Anyway, New order will rock that fuckin' island into the sea!

Skipping through again last night's... Infinity was quite a good peak, drum claps remind of the intro to JD's Decades Edited by user 08 September 2012 08:10:01(UTC)

Quit a good beer drinking and football watching session to get home in time to watch the live stream and the stream went tits up until the near end of AOC. Then I was happy.I hope Bernard is feeling better today because he sounded sorta ill on Saturday. ISO photo of Gillians new hat. Some posted the gig on YouTubers (from the web stream), great quality even tho camera operator was shiite at times.

Saw some footage from Bestival on youtube...True Faith was one of my faves. I said this on Facebook, but I'll say it again. The way Bernard holds the mic in Bizarre Love Triangle reminds me of some drunk salaryman/businessman singing karaoke.

There were some "technical problems" in the streaming and the first songs of the concert are missing, but I managed to record everything that was broadcast. It's all on YouTube now. Enjoy!

Had Bestival hooked up to the HDTV and loved it - not sure if the neighbours did. Boy they are sounding (a little too?) slick these days, croaky throat and all. The only criticism, apart from the technical problems, was the Bernard-centric cameras. 586 through to the finish was pretty much gold all the way. Edited by user 12 September 2012 03:58:44(UTC)

But the crazy Donald Duck dance... this you won't find anywhere else. (thank god) |

thanks for the vids. i could have gone for free, live pretty close to it and know peeps who work there in production. but from the most recent vids i've seen, they've (or should i say barney) has stopped caring again. just going through the motions, never lifting his voice or putting any effort into it. and it was just the same at bestival, so i'm glad i didn't go.
and the live stream was appaling. couldnt beleive the awful shots they used. apparantly they had 5 cameras on it, but you'd never guess that when in blue monday we stare at the projected screen for about 10 seconds.
