According to the efestivals forum, the info appeared on Ticketmaster website briefly and then gone. https://www.efestivals.c...-gigs/page/381/#comments

Most likely it has been moved to September 10, as it is supposed to be the Parklife eve event — the fes itself has now been rescheduled to Sept 11-12, which explains why the original Ticketmaster info briefly turned up and then disappeared.

Only a week away. I for one cant wait. First gig since lock down. Should be at sonic booms gig (ex Spacemen 3) tonight at yes in Manchester but unfortunately tested positive for COVID on Monday and been really ill with it as well (even though double jabbed) so well up for a party in the park next week as beginning to feel well again.
I have read it’s between 4pm and 8pm. Does anyone know if that is correct? Surely new order will be on when it’s dark? Does it mean new order on stage at 8pm? Any details appreciated.

^ Crikey that’d mean NO would take to the stage around 6pm which is a bit weird. Can’t imagine that 8pm finish is correct

I got an email off premierr inn as i'm staying at heaton park and it says roads are closed from 8pm until 1am so no way is it a 8pm finish!

This event seems like it’ll be a nightmare. Avoid.

I know nothing!, as Manwell was wont to say Dunno this gig just doesn't appeal to me.35,000 people and just standing there watching the same old set then trying to get out afterwards. Was in the crowd at Bluedot in summer 2019 and they had just become a cabaret act and i was surrounded by 18 year olds chatting relentlessly and looking at their phones and taking selfies. No moshing or any kind of energy , just thousands of idiots filming the gig on their phones.I went to Cities In The Park at Heaton Park in 1991 and though it was great, getting a bus back to Piccadilly Train Station was horrendous.

Fotz might just be coming down with an early onset case of The Mondays.
I would certainly brave it. I'd much rather be at that gig then stuck having to wait a year for The Unity Tour. Hot Chip and Working Men's Club interest me more as I've seen Pet Shop Boys a few times before.

Agree it’s a decent line up. Been so long that I’ve been to a gig I’m really looking forward to it. Also I think it will be a really good vibe as I think everyone else will be up for it, even if the set is very familiar!
One of my pet hates though is the constant filming with phones, what is the point. I limit myself to 3 or 4 pictures just as a memory I was there. Family day out for me shame the rain clouds will be over Manchester by Friday

The COVID regs for this are basically, in big letters "use the NHS England app, get an LFT if you don't have NHS vaccination records" and then, buried at the bottom, "and if you're not from England, just do whatever your local government requires"
All three of us going over are double vaccinated, with Irish / EU certs but I can just see an argument getting in.

In Heaton Park, they didn’t look enjoying the playing, especially Bernie who seemed to be annoyed by his SG that was out of tune from quite early in the set. The band gave me an impression of going through the motions for the most part.
Halifax wins for me.

Seems they swapped out 'Tutti Frutti' for 'The Perfect Kiss' and 'Atmosphere' for 'Decades' between the Halifax gig and this.
I hadn't even noticed they didn't play TPK at Halifax. Strange to leave that out.

Heaton Park got a better setlist, at least.
For those who are in need of an antidote, search with New Order Heaton Park review. Some glowing reviews are there.

Glad to see the event seems to have gone well and the weather was reasonable. Just wasn’t fussed about going. Glad everyone who did go had a great time from what I’ve seen and read. Yes I read that John Robb review on Louder Than War. Quite long and gushing !

Yeah it ended up being a great day out. I was a bit anxious as I went with the Mrs and my 15 year old daughter (didn’t want any whingeing) look like is was going to rain all day, and was worried it would be a nightmare getting home.
It all went well. Daughter danced all night and absolutely loved it. It was like looking at my 15 year old self. Loads of youngsters around us which was good to see that the legacy of new order looks set to continue. Never rained at all and got back to the hotel easy on the tram.
Hot chip were very good as a warm up as well. Gutted I missed WMC but seen them before and I am sure I will again.
Be a rebel slotted in nicely and sounded good and not out of place at all. Yes the last part of the set is becoming a bit samey but excellent first hour and always ends well with Temptation.
Hopefully when I see them in London we may get treated to a new track that they are currently working on and a a few changes to the set list. Not sure how many years of touring they have got left in them so got to make the most of them whilst we can

Liked the actual set, didn't like the festival setup. Insane bar queues, huge queue to get in, no issues with the Irish covid pass though - any old paper with a harp on it would probably have worked. Poor signage, poor lighting on leaving. Not a chance you'd get your gig licence a second time for doing that in Dublin.
Transport back was a bit of a mess - I doubled back out to Bury and back in which took a while but have a feeling I'd still have been queuing for the tram by that time based on how many got on.
