I have always loved Republic. It's much better live by The Light too than i ever expected.
I am surprised Get Ready wasn't in there and would be my choice instead - he has some amazing work in there - the outro of Close Range is just pinnacle Hooky to me. Someone like you, especially the longer, pre-release version (longer with his riffs) is a tune i've blasted in my 89 BMW many times, with the windows wide open and driving way too fast.

But no Joy Division? And his bass is far more prominent in the tracks on Low-Life and Brotherhood. Yet he chose Republic and Technique. I think it's odd.
