Para NME buena parte de lo mejor de la década de los 80 pasa por los cerebros de Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook y compañía, incluyendo obviamente al fallecido Ian Curtis.
Lo más polémico de esta lista es que bandas emblemáticas de esa década como U2, Metallica, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Nick Cave y otros, aparecen en lugares más retrasados en la lista de 100 temas de esa década, según esa revista.

más allá de que me encanta me parece exagerado. o sea, 3 temas en el top10? quién votó? bueno, tampoco hay que hacer tanto escándalo porque es un ranking como tantos otros. cuando no nos gusta, nos quejamos. y cuando nos gusta, también
