Heard this on R6 the other day. I quite liked it, maybe because it sounded very influenced by Bizarre Love Triangle.

edit - someone else I know independently thought the same thing.

Yeah. My mate said the same. Very BLT. There’s a couple of mash-ups on YT, I think.

As I’ve said before, I’m a DM fan but think most of the post-Wilder output has been dull. This is more of the same, I think.
It’s ‘fine’, but it ain’t Stripped/Never Let Me Down Again, is it?

I liked it very much, probably my favorite of theirs in years. Did not notice any BLT similarities though! I might now.

Similarities in the synth basslines.

Doesn't sound anything like BLT to me, I thought it was pretty dreadful, like a non-descript album filler track rather than the lead release from a new album: doesn't fill me with much enthusiasm for it.

Andy already posted this in Behind Closed Doors, but I guess most of y'all are too lazy to look beyond Digital Republic.
I didn't notice the similarity at the time, but now that it's been pointed out, I definitely hear it. In a watered down, 3rd cousin kinda way.
It's not bad, but maybe that's just because of the vague BLT-ish magic...

If we embed the track it might help to avoid those annoying YouTube adverts.

Speaking of tracks that sound like BLT.
An act that has famously collaborated with NO also used to like to play BLT in their DJ sets. And then they seemed to make their own version of the track.
Try to ignore the squeeely top line but listen to the intro vocals and twinkly bits. And the backmasked synth/strings from around 1:08 to 1:27, the bassline around 2:18, and the end section from 3:31.

The twikly bits were actually sampled from Claude Marbehant. Could this track have been an influence on BLT, or nah?

I really like the two albums by Nation of Language but some of their songs perhaps take a bit too much inspiration from what came before. This one sounds like a mashup of Ultravox and New Order: On Division St

Not everything they do is that blatant. This actually strikes me as a nice combination of "Your Silent Face" and "Temptation" influences: They're Beckoning

I was a bit suspect about them initially as "On Division St" was the first track I'd heard. Here are a couple of other favourites so you don't think they're just a tribute/ripoff band:

Rush & Fever

Friend Machine

Across that Fine Line

(I chose that performance clip of "Across that Fine Line" because I figured even Monkhouse could find something to appreciate about it.)

I did comment on the song on Andy's original thread for it on Behind Closed Doors. Didn't pick up on any BLT similarity at first but i can kind of hear a sort of BLT vibe in the synth bass.

Oh and Never Let Me Down Again featured in an episode of Last Of Us recently. It did sound really good, i must say. Think also a cover version featured in another episode.
