Should I have put this in Music For Pleasure or Ceremony? Open to debate perhaps.
Anyway if you're UK/Ireland based (or clever enough to watch UK channels from abroad using Kodi or other 'world channel' apps), then you can watch Hook & The Light on Friday Night on Sky Arts.

I do have Sky Arts, but will likely miss it due to other commitments.
Cheers for the heads up though, as might be able to watch via catch up.
If anyone manages to record the stream, please let me know, as I’d be interested in a copy.

Watching this now on a Tivo recording of last night's show (with the sound through my high end stereo).
Never really paid much attention to The Light...
...the music is a close match to the original but Hooky's raspy vocals keep dragging me out of the moment.
The interview beforehand was jarring as Hooky kept reffering to Barney as "him".
To be honest I think they should bury the hatchets...
...I would pay to see a show of Hooky, Barney and Steve with an AI version of Ian (how great would that be?)

Here’s the broadcast: https://youtu.be/Qi42Vk9RTHEIf anyone is able to download and let me have a copy, I’d be very grateful. I’m away for a week, so can’t download myself. Sky might issue a takedown notice in the meantime.

What a depressing interview. 16 years on - a decision he made - a lawsuit later, and he still can't stop going on about it. If things are so good in Peter Hook and The Light, you wonder why he feels the need to bring up New Order every time he has a half decent platform. And he's on stage only hours later only happy to sing the lyrics by a guy he can't bring himself to mention by name. Very odd. For what it's worth, I thought the gig was awful - mainly because Mr. Hook just can't sing (and by Bernard's standards that is saying something). That being said, I don't think his bass playing is up to much these days either if Regret is anything to go by. Perhaps he's out of practice given he leaves most of it to his son or other hired hands these days. Edited by user 19 June 2023 01:57:40(UTC)

I've just flicked through the songs but watched temptation in full
Wow his vocals are seriously shocking...verging on embarrassing tbh
I've actually been to his gigs and enjoyed them though... low life/brotherhood twice and substance once....alcohol must make them sound a bit better is all i can think

After all, the dispute is sound-bite gold. However, I’ve seen/heard many an interview where he just randomly mentions the split and how he hates Bernard etc. completely out of the blue. At this point, he comes off as getting increasingly more bitter with each passing year. It feels just like a failed marriage where the one partner just hates everything that the other one does, and the other party doesn’t care at all what the other is doing. All these comments just tarnish the incredible legacy that he and the rest of the band built.
