Anyone know which venue to BBC NI footage was recorded at on DVD 1? Don't think it says on the packaging?

Spent yesterday watching both DVDs, then last night I read the book while listening to CD 2. I'm very happy with this set.
The Pier gig from August 25, 1987 (a.k.a. Chapter III) is my favorite concert boot. I'm very glad All Day Long and Angel Dust from this gig were included. I wish the entire show soundboard tape would get released!

doing a comparison of the metallic covers for the CD... very different.... different colors, size, and the recreation is more like the album.... wonder why they changed it so much.. so, you can still get the original and keep that, because of the differences.. both are still pretty cool... the original is a like a 'slice' of the metallic album cover, instead of the whole thing.. later || | | | n egative 1 Edited by user 11 December 2024 13:25:50(UTC)

Got round the other night to reading the 2 pieces in the book. The new one for the book and the old one. Reading the old one, i did vaguely recall some of it from back in the day, i guess it was in Melody Maker or NME around the release in 1986. Hooky slagging off other bands like Spandau and Wham! i used to find funny back then but now it just highlights how nasty he is to everyone, beit fellow ex band members or whoever is in his crosshairs. But , apart from that it does bring back memories of the band from that era, how they were and indeed maybe how we were.New Order are almost unrecognisable now from how they were back in the 80s.

Agree with that Fotz. PH always seems to have an agenda of putting people down which Uncle Bernard or Steve don't. I read a recent interview with Paul Weller and the interviewer was trying to get him to slag off contemproriares like DD or Spandau and he said No, Gary Kemp was one of the few decent people he'd spoken to. Anyway, think the point was just because their music is shite doesn't make them a bad person.

Question for Johnny James. Any idea when the 'State', 'Bizarre' and 'Touched' reissued 12" singles are coming out as digital releases?

We've already got 2 of the digital releases bundled up with the expanded Substance. I doubt State/Shame and BLT have been (re)remastered since 2023, so both the 12" A and B sides are already with us. Bar the remastered artwork and unless they offer up Hi-Res versions, it's TBTHOG I'm looking forward to this time around. Which by the current timelines will be March if we're lucky? If they're streaming the expanded Substance reissue then that's your answer, as it's also got all of the Movement era single tracks. I can stream the full 4 CD version on YT Music in the UK.

It’s true. I like to look at the covers. I'll need to check out this Substance 4 x CD. I've only bought the Movement box set (half price). I'm not a collector so happy to listen to stuff on YT as I've got all the original records/CDs.

Still no sign of the digital singles. Touched would be gratefully received at this point.
Not entirely convinced by this approach of holding them back.
I mean, people who typically buy 12" reissues won't suddenly *not* buy them because a digital copy exists.
