Apart from a new music, does anyone have any wishes for future releases, I’ve noted a few that I could think of. You never know, these wishes may even get picked up and taken forward by the band (via Johnny), I for one would continue to purchase anything NO release in the future!

Definitive Boxes - can go as far as they like for me!
JD Boxset
RSD releases - any versions not previously released on vinyl e.g. Let’s Go, any of the better rarities from the Definitive boxes.
Recycle - as 50poundnote has repeatedly said an official release on CD would be amazing and you’d think relatively straight forward to produce.
Live CDs or Boxset to cover off some of the various era’s / albums.
Electronic - CD Boxset - Complete back catalogue (Albums, Disc for each Singles, Disc for any outstanding Rarities)

Totally agree with all of the above, and would certainly buy.
Definitive boxsets still have a long way to go until completion; let's hope they make it all the way. Recycle seriously deserves an official release.
An Electronic boxset anthology would be amazing...

I don't care about vinyl anymore and wouldn't miss it not be included in the Definitive Editions. As it seems to be in fashion and profitable, I would suggest they release the records seperately. Instead of having to fork out for the box sets and assiotiated 12" releases at the same time, it would make more sense to stagger the releases. Just chuck out the remastered singles during Record Store Days.

Live albums are alright, but I much prefer a video document of concert performances. While the rough quality of much of the archive material is better suited to box sets, I would gladly throw down money for dedicated releases of professionally filmed gigs.

With the understanding of how much time Electronic spent slaving over their albums, there must be some worthwhile material that remains unissued. Another vote here for a box set from them.

Well, I'd agree with everything previously mentioned.

Here are my (very!) specific wants:

1) The remaining Definitive Editions.

I don't have too many specific items that I want in these; mainly just more of the same. However, I would love more 'vocal' demos in the next sets (like the Movement one) and seriously hope that the Technique set contains the version of Vanishing Point with different lyrics (*). I'd also love to see complete gigs of Apollo '98, Ally Pall '98 and Olympia '01, as I was at all three of these.

2) The JD live box set that's being worked on.

I know I've mentioned this a hundred times before but I really hope this has a DVD included to try and compile all known footage of the band.
I would dearly love to see the missing Apollo '79 tracks, the Plan K footage and, probably more than anything else, the Whitehead film. I know the latter two might be problematic (sound quality issues with Plan K and 'rights' issues with the Whitehead film), but I'd love to see them released at least in some format. Maybe even edited, if that's the only way they'll get a release.

3) Singles box-set(s), trying to compile as many of the remixes etc as possible. I'd prefer this in CD format. I think the re-released 12"s have probably sated most vinyl completists in regards to single releases.

4) Not sure how this would be released, but I'd love to have a copy of The Beach Club, July 1980 gig. It's such an important gig and to know this exists and to not be able to hear it, is personally painful to me. :-)

(*) I believe there are demos that used to do the 'rounds that included this different version of VP. I've never come across this myself. If anyone has a copy of this and can furnish me with a copy, I'd be very happy.

Likewise, in the rare chance that someone has the JD or Beach Club footage mentioned above, I'd obviously be thrilled to see this.
To be fair, somebody has the Whitehead film, as they uploaded clips here a few years back, so it might not be such a very big ask:

I am really hoping for a completed Definitive Editions run. From Movement to Music Complete. The Cure's reissues have been quite the marathon, and nothing like New Order's, but they seem to be delivering... eventually. So New Order's sets are the #1 wish for me.

It's nice to see those unexpected Blu-Ray editions coming out this December. I would rather not need to get a ripper for those instrumentals but these surprises are great!

The (2) live sets next year sound intriguing. I'll show up for those for sure. Hope they match the established D.E. box format.

I really don't need anything 'new' from the band but if they decide to release new music that's great.

Otherwise, how about one giant, matching Definite Edition of everything Joy Division?

For New Order, I'd like to see the Technique Definitive Edition soon (take my money! etc), which I assume will also cover off World In Motion. It would be nice for the Definitive boxes to stretch beyond 1989, but as the artwork concept is drawn from an original Factory idea, I sort of doubt that will happen. Also, the later albums are clearly not as well loved as the earlier ones. I imagine it will be difficult to squeeze stuff out of the vaults for a full Republic box beyond remixes, but at least we got the decent Hi-Res remaster of the main LP in 2015. I'd love to hear the original Hooky/Stephen/Gillian writing demos before Bernard rejigged them, but all of them seem to hate talking about that period so, chance would be a fine thing...

For the 1993-2006 London/Warners years, which after all is 3 albums plus Lost Sirens, a single box-set encompassing everything plus discs of rarities/choice mixes might be the most viable/cost effective option. The main albums, B-sides (not many), choice remixes and perhaps even the full Reading 93 & 98 shows. There's got to be a Get Ready/Siren-era show (besides Glasgow 2006) they could dust off for inclusion. Just make it a real celebration/consolidation of all things New Order 1993-2006 in one place. As mentioned, those albums are clearly not as well loved as the Factory ones, but in my opinion they should still have their place in the sun. From what I understand the publishing and songwriting arrangements were considerably more complex after the Factory years, so that could be an impediment to someone trying to put that box-set together. Who knows? Recent interview quotes from Hooky show relations are still chilly-to-absent.

Joy Division, what is seriously left to reissue? Heart & Soul, the 2007 Collector's Editions and recent remasters adequately put a full stop on things. Even the RSD 12" from 2011 gave us JD's version of Ceremony, which for years fans never thought we'd get to hear. "Everything else is merchandising of memory" as Saville put it.

Side projects-wise, I think we've got everything, so bar new music, everything is readily out there on the second hand market. I doubt there's the financial appetite for reissues from most record labels. They barely got stuff out in the late 90s, let alone now. Electronic, O2 and Monaco all had their albums released on vinyl recently, so that's been ticked off the list.

Continue with the Definitive Editions, right up to Waiting For The Sirens' Call/Lost Sirens

More importantly, they need to get all singles release in digital download/streaming versions, containing all versions (7" edits, B-side/Dub edits, remixes, etc.). There's some brilliant remixes (and some rubbish ones), but they all need to be available on digital platforms - accompanied with the brilliant single artwork. Plus, why have Bizarre Love Triangle, State Of The Nation and Touched By The Hand Of God, still not come out digitally, when True Faith and Blue Monday 1988 have. Surely time to sort that out.

Okay, you mean the two "boxed" sets, rather than live sets (Joy Division and 'Technique')

I do mean live, but maybe I am wrong. I was under the impression that the two sets JJ was referring to are live collections and not having any studio recordings. I think there was another post with more detail, but I can’t find it. I don’t mean to confuse, sorry.

I'd be astonished if the Definitive Edition boxsets don't end with the Technique release. I'd be happy if they did Republic too original demos and working versions, but I doubt we will see that

Anything beyond Republic would I think be commercial suicide. We've already seen the existing boxsets plummet in price 6 months after release, and first day sales for a GR or WFTSC DE would surely be only a fraction of what the "classic LP" DEs shipped
