My external hard drive Suffered a fall of about 1 foot onto wooden floor about a month ago, somehow didn't get round to checking if it was alright until today. It's not, it sounds like it's trying to scan the internal disc but jamming. It was switched off at the time which i've read might mean it's not completely had it. Mostly movies i can accept not watching again, music i can download again off Soulseek but i can't at present remember what unreplaceable pictures ( not porn) i had on it. I've read it can cost hundreds to retrieve data off these things in the event of an accident Edited by user 26 December 2012 15:36:44(UTC)

Peter Rauhofer died 07/05/13 aged 48. Remixer of Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and Orgy's Blue Monday, along with more commercial stuff like Madonna, Kylie, Adele and many others. I wasn't a fan of all his stuff but I liked what he and PSB did with 'Break for Love' http://pitchfork.com/new...producer-peter-rauhofer/

Ray Harryhausen. One can only hope the funeral is filmed with the mourners moving in a jerky stop-start movement.

Noel Harrison RIP What a song. "Like a circle in a spiral Like a wheel within a wheel Never ending or beginning On an ever-spinning reel As the images unwind Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind"
