Cure and New Order at the same night is too much for an old man. WTF you talking, baixinho? Cure and Order on the same night?????

coachella is expensive if one wishes to hear new order only, but the santa barbara show is reasonable. flying from texas and 4 nights hotel , renting a car ,and seeing both shows for about $1500.00 is worth the hard work saving up for it all. besides, bernard is super friendly , and likely to share some good cheer and hugs before and after sound checks. last autumn, in dallas, he was especially kind. they played 18 songs, 6 of which were joy division songs. and now, with some of electronic's songs possible, or lost sirens, or 'special' or 'everyone everywhere', then bliss/euphoria/ ecstasy shall prevail, and, our newordernow has more new songs coming. at 59 ,i feel i am one of the luckiest fans on earth. so, thanks are in order on a daily basis . |

Barney seemed a bit grumpy and off his game most of the night. Gillian never looks all that thrilled when he takes over at the end of BM does she?

She never looks all that thrilled, period, but yeah, I've wondered this too. As for Barney, he was off-key vocally (more so than usual). I thought the sound quality on that video feed was pretty thin, though.

WARNING: RANT ABOUT TO ENSUE... APOLOGIES.
Barney's comment of 'if I were an American I would sue someone' just rubs me the wrong way. A few minutes before this he talked about 'working', and during his shift where he is getting paid thousands by many, many people (a few probably American) he goes and says something like this.?. WTF.
Three songs in and he is a grumpy MF and does not look like he even wants to be there.
"Have you ever watched them live before" you may want to ask me... Sure. And we all give them a lot of accolades when half the time they sound like shit.
Just something about that comment makes me say fuck you to him. There is no reason for insults, regardless of whether or not they are American, Chinese, Saudi, Korean, etc. People going to see NO may or may not agree with cultural norms.
And don't get me started on the Isolation 'cover'. Yes - cover. "Do do do do"? WTF. That song is not a happy little jingle. IT'S ISOLATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I trust ALL artists had to deal with the dusty environment.
Just saying... I am a huge NO fan. I'm just shocked and surprised he is still being an asshole after all this time. |

New Order sounded great in the tent and visuals wonderful.

Regarding the slip, surely the stage should have been free of dust or anything else that could have caused someone to fall like that, how much does it cost to get someone to give it a sweep between acts? I can understand his annoyance actually and if he had injured himself the gig would have ended right there.

And not even just this gig but potentially all gigs after. So thankful no one was injured.
