The 5 piece band really does the track justice. Phil adds guitar where Bernard rarely did. And by Phil on the syn drums allows Tom to really fly with the bass riff toward the end. Never sounded better.

Completely agree. Tom's bass in "Blue Monday" (live) really sounds better than Hooky's lines, that's the fact. The bass improvisation towards 5'20" is superb. I love this new live version a lot.
