It started as a colloboration between Jehnny (from Savages) and Primal Scream, so most of PS play on the album. The guitar break at 2.16 makes me happy. Perhaps hints of Give Out...in the closing section. Bobby Gillespie, Jehnny Beth - Remember We Were Lovers

Recent Amorphous Androgynous release - We Persuade Ourselves We Are Immortal featuring Peter Hammill and Paul Weller ( don’t worry, Weller doesn’t sing on this, just guitar and piano) and companion remix album Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind. Oh it’s big 21st century psychedelic prog rock but it’s great. Edited by user 07 May 2021 15:32:58(UTC)

First listen , yes I like it. Not the best thing they’ve ever done but still pretty funky and playful. Liking the video too. Also played that vid you posted of the Jehnny and Bobby song, yeah they work well with each other. Bobby’s vocal reminds me a little of some of the slower, sad ( sad in a good way! ) songs on Give Out But Don’t Give Up Edited by user 09 May 2021 05:43:22(UTC)

I just read that at the time of Blur's Country House, guitarist Graham wanted to kill himself... I feel for him. I wanted to kill him too when I heard Country House. It is total and utter fucking shit.

The new Duran Duran single just dropped last week. The song is called Invisible. It's ok, but the new album won't be out until October. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMCd5zrsFpE

Complete random obsession with an All Saints comeback single from 2015 or 2016 lately .Weird i can't stop listening to it, it's a really good song and i developed a crush on Natalie of the Appleton sisters though think she married Liam from The Prodigy? She's serious uber yummie mummy. Oh well, if you're reading this, Natalie, PM me and maybe we can meet up sometime hey?

Heard this a few times recently. What the f***k is the song?? Certainly an interesting vocal technique nonetheless. And a rare mention of Coventry in the lyrics. Is it to tie in with the 2021 city of culture?

Haha! Yep, the connection between the two songs wasn't lost on me either.Trouble with that Dry Cleaning track is the spoken word vocal would be more effective if it was a little clearer and/or louder in the mix.Hard to make out at times what she's saying which kind of defeats the point of having a spoken word vocal. Well , on an oppressively overcast June day at Wembley, which didn't help in settling the nerves, England finally got one over on the Germans.Lost my voice after all the screaming and shouting in the pub on Tuesday. But how did Thomas Muller not score that opportunity??? Knew the gods and luck were on England's side once that shot miraculously went wide.I actually quite like this - German version of Three Lions from some years back.Well, it's an homage to Eintracht Frankfurt really. "Ihr kommt nach haus, ihr kommt nach haus , nach haus, ihr kommt, ̶E̶i̶n̶t̶r̶a̶c̶h̶t̶ fussball kommt nach haus!!"

I hear what you mean and cannot decide myself. The beat also feels like it might (or might not?) be inspired by Sophie B.

^ I get a feeling the Sophie B thing might be purely unintentional. Or subconsciously? Originally Posted by: Debaser

Gave the whole album a listen today. Quite liked it. Not massively but possibly more than I thought I would. Not always in the mood for Bobby’s vocal style but maybe I was in the mood today. Would give it another listen . Edited by user 22 July 2021 10:56:40(UTC)

^ Doh, I was bigging up Khruangbin a year ago on here (page 52, take a look) and nobody was bothered. I posted my humble opinion of them , kind of like them though they are a bit noodly. Texas Sun feat. Leon Bridges is a lovely chill out tune( posted the clip a year ago). Edited by user 31 July 2021 16:58:40(UTC)

Gave this one a go when i saw the thumbnail on YouTube.Chvrches featuring Robert Smith.Didn't do much for me the first couple of minutes or so but around 3 minutes in i started to really like it, the song takes flight with a kind of insistent intensity .Guess it's the effect Robert Smith's talent brings to it .

Yes, played it a lot when it was released. Didn't get any airplay on stations that usually play such music here, but then I wasn't listening to the radio much. Bobo sure got a lot of work done in the last year or so.
