Probably whoever was in charge of the info for the 12" vinyl had lost track themselves by that point
I've only bought the CD single (oh and the Download of the HC mix and radio edit released a while ago) this time.
But in terms of people owning the two 12" tracks digitally, you're saying that the 12" mix on Side A = 12" Extended Mix Two on the CD. So that's easy.
The Hot Chip Remix Vinyl Edit is I'm
guessing the same as this (?):
But please correct me if I'm mistaken, 12" owners.
I can understand that those who bought the 12" feel they should have the Vinyl Edit available as a download. Mute surely could have made it happen.
Perhaps as a next-best-thing, people could rip the audio from the video? Might not be very ethical but if you've spent the money on the tracks, it's not exactly stealing.
I also believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that unless you have a USB turntable, the quality of audio you get from connecting a turntable to your PC won't be very high. So you'd probably be better off just ripping the youtube vid. (Yes, I know a proper download would still be better, before someone says it...)
If I'm wrong about the above video, then uh, this whole post falls apart!
