Alright. Who's coming to see me??? http://wx.pn/neworderSadly it's not at a venue in town, so no bars nearby... It's a pretty crappy area (west phila) and it's a seated venue. Still NEW ORDER IN PHILLY!

Hi! Do you plan on participating in the AEG presale on Thursday or will you wait until the general sale on Friday? I am trying to decide which option is best. Would you happen to know the presale code?

fairly stoked. Actually asked both Phil and Gillian about a possible Philly show when I heard a rumor a few months back. Gillian said they were coming a month or so ago. Phil last week said yeah, it was in the pipeline, so today was awesome!! Probably hitting both the Philly and Columbia, MD show since I leave in Harrisburg and can do both easily. The show at the Mann will be great and as for a local drink up -- you can tailgate there with the best of them, or just hit an early happy hour and cab it up from the city.
As for passwords, that likely won't come out until Wednesday given past pre-sales. I did the AEG pre-sale for the National at the Mann and made out alright. Same for Morrissey when he played Reading, PA. It will be my wife's first NO show and she wil prefer a seat. For Columbia, I'll be looking for the pit. Absolutely cannot wait!!
Just like Oakland last year, I will now go into a 3 month warm up and starting asking Phil and Gillian about Thieves Like Us about a month out!!!

Great, thanks for the info! I signed up for the AEG e-mail list the other day, so hopefully I'll receive a message soon. Hope you have an awesome time at the gig!

very quiet on here. Coming up on 2 months out from the show. Band appears to be humming away in the studio if twitter is to be believed. Big plans for Jordell Bank. What about us in the States? A surprise or two would be nice...

And a quick check of tickets - no pit left, some seats at the higher price point but now on the sides (far right and far left). Mid-price tickets it would appear the boxes are gone and circle tickets remain. No idea on lawn sales. I read the Mann holds 4,700 under the roof -- anything approaching that would make for a fun night.

last year at many of the Mann shows they gave away baseball cards with drawing of the evenings artist on them. I have the Bright Eyes card from last year. Well, tonight I was supposed to see the National at the Mann but had to unload my tickets, and I just saw they did a baseball card for the National. Question is -- will there be a New Order baseball card and if so, how many people are going to want one?

FYI, Crescendo -- the restaurant on the hill at the Mann will not be serving buffet dinner on the night of New Order. I highly recommend dinner elsewhere before headed to the venue. Anyone coming from out of state or country with questions, feel free to ask for recommendations....

And for the beer drinkers, the Mann carries an awesome selection of local Philadelphia area brews -- Victory, Philadelphia Brewing, and Sly Fox. Huge fan of all three, but especially like Sly Fox.

Thanks for the info WJ. I'm sat somewhere in the Orchestra, looking forward to those local Philly brews!
Hopefully there will be some new old or new new tracks added to te set for this tour. The gigs in Russia, France & Jodrell may present some clues!

any out of town vikings coming?
I am somewhere in the Orch.
I will probably be at the Bards pre-show because it's about a block and a half from the shuttle to the Mann.
Anyone wanna join and I can organise more specifics?

The Bards is a great time, but a bit small isn't it. Also if its a nice day, wouldn't you want to be outside. Tir Na Nog is bigger and has an outdoor area, same as the place in front of Comcast building....and the shuttle to Mann stops right there. Just offering up another idea...
I do like the Bards appetizers better than the above places...so that is important.

I'm planning to head to the Philly show directly from NYC after work, it's only an hour train ride. Anyone have any idea how to get to venue from the Amtrak Station in Philly?

ZAS, honestly a cab. You come into 30th street station so you are not terribly far from the venue. however if you were to get in early enough there is a bus shuttle that runs from the City to the Venue, last pickup is at 6:45 and is several blocks from the train station.

Yeah sadly, a cab is the only easy way. You can walk to 32nd and Spruce to get the 40 bus as well..not a far walk but I wouldn't do it if I was not familiar with the area.

Does anyone know where the Sunday show (in Columbia I think) is in relation to the venue? I wanna go to the Philly show tonight but last min train tickets are like $200 and if I am glonna blow that much on train tickets, maybe its better to go Sunday so I could see Holy Ghost and the full show...farther train ride but could sleep on the train and head to my office from penn station Monday morning.
Ahhh decisions! Times like this I wish rent in NYC wasn't so damned high!

Columbia is out aways from DC and Baltimore. I worked it out for JG but if I recall you take the train I Baltimore then get on a train to BWI then a bus at one of the stops takes you to the shopping center right near the venue.
I think the above sounds like something out of Ferris Bueller but honestly that about describes it - 2 trains and a bus from NYC.
