Good reviews always take you right back to the event and I can almost taste the Estelle beer in my mouth reading that. A real oddball of a festival which can barely be done justice in a short piece.
Bernard started talking about the new album towards the end of the chat with Irvine Welsh but had to wrap up just when you wanted him to carry on going. There were no scoops other than a mention of the BBC Maida Vale event which has been made public now.
Not mentioned by the Bristol Post but of interest to this parish was the discussion between Jon Savage, Debbie Curtis and Steve about Ian's lyrics published recently in 'So This Is Permanence'. Debbie was clearly nervous and showed a lot of courage discussing sensitive issues in public while Steve was a calming prescence and his usual entertaining self. Unexpectedly bumped into Debbie the following morning having breakfast in the same cafe not far from the Festival site and she confirmed how daunting it had been.

You know her or you just recognised her and approached? Incidentally Ed Simons was at that talk as a punter. Did you spot him in the crowd? Edited by user 09 September 2015 10:27:11(UTC)

Ed was sat on the side of the stage, along with Arthur Baker, Bernard's Mrs and various others. Saw him around and about quite a bit, including the Debbie + Jon + Steve talk. We were leaving the cafe the same time as Debbie so it was just a very brief word on the way out.
