I've had Music Complete since the day it came out. At first listen I wasnt blown away..( isnt always a bad thing) I liked Singularity and The Game and thought Restless was pretty good... I didnt quite get the songs that I considered pop, when I first listened to it.. Anyway, long story short, I love this CD!! It is so hard to believe that they came out with this after the last few records... but with this one every single track is quality, there is no filler at all, seriously I'm blown away with how good this record is... In fact I would go so far as to say...... Its their best album...period I was expecting a couple good songs, like in the line of Here To Stay or Draculas Castle'ish, but every song captures that special "New Orderish" thing that other bands cant do.... what I mean is in every song there are elements of what made them such a amazing band... some are very subtle, and it took me a few listens to get it, but once it did.... it was like OMG, they came out with the album that I always had hoped they would....
Another kinda strange phenomena for me is.... after going back and listening to Get Ready and WFTSC, to me they've gotten a little better (as a full record) than they were before MC.
I've alway thought remixes were good, but in most cases, not as good as the original.... In the case of restless thats not the case, I think the 12" version is amazing! Like if they make it to Seattle or Vancouver I hope they play it live the way the 12" is.... I know TF will be the next single but I really hope they have enough to do a 12" of Singularity, omg....
anyway.... thats my 2 cents, I could go on and on, but I wont....

Is everyone starting a new thread to tell us their opinion of Music Complete? As well as this "My opinion" thread, we already have: Muisc Complete - my personal reviewMusic Complete review - we liked it by some obscure fanzine writer. Music Complete....againOk I get it - things are busy around here and there will be some overlap. But really? Does everyone who thinks that their opinion on the album is more important than others think they should just start a new thread? Sillyness. innit!

I'm considering starting a thread about people starting threads.

I'm hoping for a similar experience with Episodes I-III once I've seen The Force Awakens.

get ready and wftsc were both immediately appreciated , and I still consider both the top releases of the 21st century. Nothing else comes within light years of them, and as a bonus there were about 25 more great songs released as single s, b sides , the sirens saved for their next release, and the brilliant songs of bad lieutenant, imo about 10 of the 15 songs. To expect anything but more brilliance and near perfection from new order is mental illness. The bands' next lp will be just as great . Never underestimate Bernard, and all is gorgeous and magnificent with the world |

well to not start a new thread - my opinion. hate the fucking sound, its brickwalled to shit, no dynamics. I thought the hd flac versions would sound better, but nope. here is a waveform of academic http://postimg.org/image/bmav4tw39/even when they have great ideas - like the kb line from academic - its lost amongst large parts of almost random sounds and tone changes. sounds less like an album than a collection of songs than ever. but there is some good stuff in there. if only I could get in with a knife to cut some bits out, and remaster it to sound nice, I'd be happy. as it is... its a promising disappointment.

I like every song except Unlearn This Hatred.A good intro and melody but it's generally for me a bit irritating and i don't like Bernard's vocal on it.The song comes across as if they tried too hard to create a cutting edge dance tune but it doesn't cut it for me. Initially i didn't like The Game but it has grown on me a bit, i've warmed to it.
Overall though the album is strong, incredibly inventive, fun, funky, diverse, original, engaging and touching. One or two places i miss Hooky's bass if i'm honest (probably most evidently on Academic though it's still great) but i genuinely believe we'd have got a mediocre album if he was still around. He would've have stifled creativity i'm sure.
