Any post MIF gigs, in bigger venues, taking advantage of playing some of the old songs just rehearsed would be really cool, but am I dreaming?

Highly likely is my guess - they won't have gone to all that effort for the new old material to be solely used for MIF is my take. some of it will surely be convertible to a mainstream gig - it's the visuals am guessing that may require the effort.

My wishful thinking would be their return to Festival No.6 in Portmeirion, Wales, Sept 7-10, as the Sunday co-headliner, which is usually announced at a later date (a slot given to James in 2015 and Super Furry Animals in 2016, respectively). New Order were Sunday headliners in 2012, the festival's first run, and given the Headline Performance of the Year from the UK Festival Awards. As 2017 commemorates the sixth year of Festival No.6, their return makes sense in more than one way, something special. Adding to that, Joe Duddell, who orchestrates and conducts the synthesizer ensemble at MIF, is on the line-up of Festival No.6 as the Composer-in-Residence. Their collaboration at the open-air stage would be spectacular if materialized.
