A couple of things I found whilst perusing Frank Arkwright's twitter. No one else has mentioned this have they? The Factory Records designer revisits his most iconic record sleeves. The only important part of that link is actually the link to the Radio Interview. Only a couple of days left to listen, so get yer skates on. Interview is from about 1hr,4mins to 1hr,29 mins. I have concluded that although Jarvis is a regular radio presenter, he talks like he's on tranquilisers, and I want to slide his +/- pitch control up a couple of notches (if he were a Technics deck). Saville on the other hand has a much more engaging tone and would actually make a good presenter. And as a bonus, a mini-interview with Arkwright about his work on various artist's stuff HERE.

Thanks, giving the interview a listen though i feel it's very much these days a story we've heard a million times.I don't often listen to Jarvis Cocker's Sunday afternoon show on 6Music but i do enjoy and love his occasional series Wireless Nights on Radio 4, Jarvis going on nocturnal journeys on all sorts of varied subjects and places with the theme of night. A great link also on that Vinyl Factory Limited website to a piece by Ben Kelly about the opening night of the Hacienda in 1982 with some great photos from that night. Really liked the Durruti Column track played during the interview, Duet For Piano. Edited by user 29 July 2017 02:28:31(UTC)

What do you call a cross between Suede and One Direction? Pulp. Boy, they suck. Can't be arsed with another history lesson.

I just got an unwanted Monty Python sketch in my inbox. Must be Spam. Pulp are balls. Pompous, pretentious, condiscending crap. 'You'll never live like common people' - no, not if you're a multi-millionaire rock star feeding the lower classes all this presumptious bollocks about being 'one of you. Really. Like, I fucking mean it. Honest. I'm writing this from my yacht, but I once went for a whole morning without a beer, so I know what it's like.' Who do you think you are, Damon Albarn? Peter Savile is part of the New Order hype that used to fascinate me - and slowly went out the window when I stripped all the BS away. Some great songs, but honestly... My reputation precedes me. The proudest moment of my life was when someone came up to me and said, 'Hey - you're the guy that jerks off to Mel C, right?' The most interesting Savile interview was in Select's mega-special in 1993. They did a massive article that was totally out of proportion to the hairy-balls-in-the-plug-that-was-Republic. So did everyone else.

My Bernard action figure , resurrected from a smoldering Lars Ulrich figure discarded into a nearby incinerator by an exasperated soccer mom with preteens, is fully capable of bitch slapping jarvis ,while charming jessica alba and brittany murphy with his bird calls and whistling skills |
