End of another year. Decent one imo for music. Some great new bands and some old favourites delivering. Some future classics me thinks.

My favourites are as follows

The Orielles - Silver Dollar Moment - Superb debut a very young band that look even younger than there years. These might be the real deal. Great new 7 inch out as well. Radio 6 faves so easy to check out.

Echo and the Bunneymen - The Stars the Oceans and the moon - some feat to re do your classic tracks and do them justice, wonderful versions

Spiritualized - And nothing Hurts - back on form best Spiritualized album since let it come down

Sink ya teeth - sink ya teeth - another wonderful debut. As fellow New Order fans check them out as I think you’ll like.

Goat Girl - Goat Girl - dark tails, great band, one of my most played.

Steve Rutter(b12) - Brain fog - one of the uk techno greats from the 90’s hits us with this very personal album, what a gem.

Skee Mask - Compro - only just got this so needs more listens, but sounds like a classic. Perfect fusion of techno, ambient and drum and bass.

Panda Bear - A Day with the Homies - not an album but a 5 track ep. Wonderful all the same.

Boy Azooga - 1,2 Kung Fu - another great debut, lots of styles here but pulled off in style, great live as well.

The Shadow Party - some great tracks on here, although patchy debut, lacks a bit of cohesion as an album, but promising start

Just didn't get round to listening to many new albums this year.I tend to download loads of radio shows and listen in the car.Gilles Peterson's 6Music show has been something i've got quite into.Heard a lot about Sons Of Kemet's album though and gave that a good few listens. Some great stuff on it and must get round to listening to it more.
