Well we mentioned the Music Complete equivalent of this on the Social Media thread, but I thought this might be worth flagging up in its own thread as: a) I'm not sure if people look at the Social Media Thread b) Its flipping PCL! c) This one is run by Tim Burgess, the other one wasn't.
I really enjoyed the one Tim did on the Chems' Exit Planet Dust, with both Chemical Brothers involved along with guest vocalist Beth Orton, Steve Dub (engineer) and Tim Burgess himself who of course also guested on the album.
Steve & Gillian involved tonight.

^ Wow, that's a gargantuan amount of embedding you've done there, D.Great work. I'm not on twitter (maybe it's time i joined) but was able to read Steve's feed tonight as it's public and caught most of what you've embedded above.Saw most of those incredible pics but missed some of Kevin Cummins' ones, though i recognise some of them from his New Order book of a few years back. Some great insights and info from Steve tonight. Not sure how The Beach reminds him of Crimewatch though

Occurred to me this morning that Steve didn’t say anything about Murder, which was a shame. Apart from mentioning the track title in a post about Murder and Ecstacy being 2 instrumentals he didn’t say anymore. I know it wasn’t included on the album but it was recorded during the sessions. And Blue Monday wasn’t on the album either but he talked about that track! Oh well , can’t complain I suppose and many thanks to Steve for giving some great info about the album.

Indeed, I was just about to post this. Also someone asked him about the PCL box set release date (athough you could probably guess the answer).
PS: The reply where Steve says "well done" to LWTUA (Martin Hannett version) is in response to people guessing at his earlier tweet, where Steve said he recycled the AOC drums from another track. Edited by user 13 April 2020 03:26:55(UTC)

Thanks Johnny J and Debaser.
Steve could have seen my comment on here and added a PS on his Twitter about Murder ? Wow .Or maybe just a coincidence.Still,?great that he added some info about Murder this morning.
Yeah I had suspected the release or not of PCL box could be affected by current situation in the world.

Yes, saw the bit about AOC drumming and LWTUA (Hannett version) . I’d never made the connection before.

Great photos of Gillian.Really like that one at a gig somewhere and there's flowers in the foreground and in that post Steve says about the flowers reference in The Village being the only (unintended) connection to the record's sleeve.I think i'd seen that photo before but anyone know which gig it's from? Steve mentions about Leave Me Alone and how he changes the drumbeat in the last 30 seconds of the song.Yep, always found that really effective how he did that. Also on the subject of his drumming, he said how he was going for a Captain Beefheart 'Bat Chain Puller' Floppy boot stomp on Ultraviolence.Looked up that Beefheart track and yeah i can kind of hear it. That Kilkenny 83 pic in Steve's post about We All Stand, the pic where we can see Gillian on guitar and him on drums looks like a still from the gig video? So it appears there was a few different cameras recording the gig? Not just one camera at the back of the hall zooming in and out like the Peppermint Lounge 81 video so am looking forward to seeing that if it does make the PCL box set if i'm correct. Pretty good stuff!
Between Steve and Hooky with his live chats, they're helping us get through this lockdown.
I still miss the pub, though... :-(

Oh this is also great, on Tim's Listening Party website you can "Replay" any of his previous listening parties.Just heard Radcliffe & Maconie talking about it on 6Music. You search the album you want from the ones Tim has done a party for, cue up the album and press play and at the same time press play on the corresponding replay on the website and the tweets as if by magic appear on screen in real time as they happened at time. You get a "next tweet in 12 seconds" etc and then a countdown and then the next tweet appears.Brilliant if you'd missed the listening party or had missed some of the tweets.Saves you having to refresh the page. You can sit back, just listen to the music and watch the tweets appear . I may have overexplained that but hey Looking at the PCL one now there's actually some tweets like some of Kevin Cummin's pics that i missed the other week. PCL listening party replayedi: oh, i don't think you see peoples replies to Tim's or Steve's or Kevin's tweets, just the original tweet.A minor quibble but the replay thing is still a great idea if you missed the party. This is great. Thanks for this. I'll give it a go later.
It would be good if one could save this for posterity, but the usual 'download video' methods don't work. Shame.

Thanks. Yeah, that would probably work and I might give it a go. I don't really like using screen capture stuff, as you have to sit through the whole thing, turn off emails etc. But it might be worth it.
