here's the first original singles i have from new order.

i got these all at different times and out of order. [no pun intended]

anyways, the first single i got from them was 'blue monday' in 1983.
i still remember when i bought it, and it was part of a massive amount
i got that day. about $100 or 15 singles, including kraftwerks - tour de france.

i have the US blue monday, still with the shrink wrap and price sticker on it.
i have one of the UK singles, and a few more.

NOW, back then, i didn't know what i was doing, so i took the printed inner
sleeve covers from 'power corruption and lies', and replaced it in one of them.

i also used the inner as a sleeve for another one.

Had pretty much all the vinyl up to 96, when it became impractical and I was both losing interest and getting bored of rehashes. It'd probably be worth something but the poor condition has an effect and I suspect my family's chucked it out. Never mind.

here are the 12x12 series vinyl only collection.

some of the mixes made it out on cd-singles, but that was it.

i don't think they were even digital at that point.

new order was putting out tons of physical releases, but people complained
they weren't on cd, or digital at the time.

12x12" was a nice collection but I have as much use for vinyl as I do fishing waders.

I would've bought all 12 on CD and for a while held a faint hope that TPOIT might give them 'the treatment' but alas.

I had all of these at one time, but I sold them. I stopped being a completist a long time ago, and only consider Factory/London/Warners/Rhino/Mute to be official releases (i.e. I'm not arsed by unique edits from different countries, etc. Those are not how the band envisioned the songs, or intended for them to be released). These were licensed and put out by New State.

Pretty sure all the remixes exclusive to this series showed up on a promo CD-R. The tracks ripped to my library are sourced from digital, not vinyl.

not exactly new order, but i've been beefing up my 'electronic' collection.

i didn't know the 12 inch for 'late at night' was withdrawn, i thought it was just
both the cd-singles (which i have). so i ended up getting that too.

the artwork and inner sleeve look pretty awesome.

The second single from the supergroup's third album Twisted Tenderness was manufactured and planned for release in the UK but was withdrawn at the last minute due to an uncleared Ice-T sample in the song "Make It Happen". The version of "Make It Happen" is the original mix which appears only on this 12".

I have a 4 track CD Promo, (Vivid, Make It Happen, Prodigal Son, Flicker) that has the original Ice-T sampled version. The catalogue number is TWISTEDJ01 (missing "D" intentional?). You can probably track one of them down.

yes, thanks. as it turns out, another person pointed out that the version on vinyl
doesn't have the sample either, and that discogs was wrong.

i'm getting it a few weeks, so i can check it also.

also 2 copies of the disappointed 10 inch, 2 promo 10 PVC sleeve singles that are super tight to get record out, and a white label 10 inch:

a quick return to electronic.

the withdrawn UK 12 inch of 'late at night' showed up, have not played it yet.

it's a beautiful die cut sleeve, with a 2 color printed insert. much in line with the
other singles..

kind of a call back to the artwork of 'tempatation' 12 inch:

update on some other new ordery things..

1 a string of bad luck happened when ordering the Brotherhood UK metallic sleeve LP.
the seller couldn't find it, and was out of the country for a few weeks, and said he
would look for it when he came back.

well i looked for other copies, and there was one for $500 on ebay, so no thanks.

then there was another copy on discogs, which was fine, but when i was going to buy it,
it left the shopping cart. i contacted the seller, and he still had it, so i tried ordering it again.

hopefully it will show up.

2 the very last (at least for me), promo cd single from music complete, was the
single edit of 'people on the high line'. well one showed up on discogs, and i
ordered it, so lets see what happens with that.

further down the road - still need the singles 4xlp, and some other promo vinyls
